Tracking Your Shipment
How tracking works at Nav Air
When the warehouse hands a package to UPS / USPS / FedEx (or a freight carrier for LTL loads), the system records the tracking number against your order. That tracking number is then:
- Emailed to you in the shipping confirmation.
- Visible on your order in the customer portal.
- Logged in your order's history (chatter) for audit.
Where to find your tracking number
1. The shipping confirmation email
Search your inbox for "Shipping Confirmation" + your order number. The email has clickable tracking links for each package.
2. The order in your portal
Open My Account > Orders > Order #SXXXX at navaircorp.com/my/orders. The order detail shows a Shipments section with one row per package, each linking out to the carrier's tracking page.
Multiple shipments per order
Big orders or backorders ship in multiple boxes / dates. The portal shows each shipment separately so you can track them independently. Box 1 of 3 may arrive Monday; Box 2 of 3 Tuesday; etc.
Backorders
If your order has a backordered line, you'll see two shipments in the portal: the in-stock items shipped now, and a placeholder for the backordered items showing Pending. The backorder shipment fills in once the stock arrives and the warehouse picks it — you'll get a separate shipping confirmation email at that point.
Freight (LTL) shipments
For large orders shipped via LTL (less-than-truckload) carriers like R+L Carriers or SpeedShip, the tracking link goes to the freight carrier's portal instead of UPS/FedEx. You'll see a Pro Number (the freight industry's tracking number format) which is what the carrier uses internally.
Carrier-side tracking
When you click a tracking link, you land on the carrier's tracking page. From there you see scan events (origin, in transit, out for delivery, delivered) and the estimated delivery date. Nav Air doesn't push these scan events back to the portal — the carrier's page is always the source of truth.
Common pitfalls
"My order confirmed but no tracking shows up"
The warehouse hasn't shipped it yet. Tracking populates the moment a label is printed. Average gap from confirm to ship: same day if confirmed before 12pm; next business day if after.
"The tracking link is broken / says 'Tracking number not found'"
Sometimes the carrier needs a few hours to ingest a new tracking number into their system. Try again 2-4 hours later. If still broken after 24 hours, the warehouse may have made a typo — email [email protected] with your order number.
"My package shows delivered but I don't have it"
Two steps: (1) check with your front desk / mailroom — carriers sometimes leave at the wrong address. (2) If still missing, file a claim directly with the carrier (UPS / FedEx / USPS each have a claims portal). Nav Air can help but the carrier owns the investigation.
